SmackDown Women’s Title Match: Zelina Vega vs. Rhea Ripley

Back from a break and out comes SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley by herself. Ripley was drafted to RAW in the WWE Draft, while her opponent was selected by SmackDown. The LWO music hits next and out comes Zelina Vega in Puerto Rican flag attire. An emotional Vega receives a big pop and greets family members at ringside. We get formal ring introductions from Irvin. Fans cheer loudly for Vega as she holds the flag open while crying.

Cole says Vega has dedicated this match to her father, who passed away in the 9/11 attacks. The bell rings and Ripley taunts Vega to boos. Vega ducks a quick attack and the “ole!” chants start up. Vega gets slammed into the corner but she side-steps and kicks Ripley.

Vega grabs a flip-flip from her mom to a huge pop, then throws it at Ripley, angering her. Vega fights in and flies off the middle rope for a hurricanrana but Ripley catches her for a big powerbomb in the middle of the ring. Vega kicks out at 2. Ripley man-handles Vega now, working her over and taunting the crowd. Ripley with shoulder thrusts in the corner.

Ripley launches Vega into the turnbuckles and she goes down. Ripley mocks The LWO by using the taunt made famous by WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero. Ripley continues to dominate and talk trash to Vega. Ripley with a rib breaker now. Ripley scoops Vega to her back for a Gory Special. Vega gets out and side-steps, forcing Ripley to hit the ring post shoulder-first. Vega fights Ripley off with forearms. Vega is sent back to the corner but she fights back out as fans rally. Vega with clotheslines but Ripley headbutts her.

Vega blocks Riptide and turns it into a big DDT. Vega rallies the crowd and hits 619 for a pop. Vega goes to the middle rope, does the Eddie taunt, then hits the Meteora for a close 2 count. An emotional Vega can’t believe it.

Vega unloads while Ripley is dazed on her knees. Vega charges but Ripley intercepts her with a roundhouse kick to lay her out. Ripley then follows up with Riptide for the pin to win and retain in the middle of the ring.

Winner: Rhea Ripley

After the match, the music hits as Ripley stands tall. We go to replays. Ripley makes her exit with the title draped over her shoulder. Fans begin chanting and cheering for Vega as she gets back to her feet. An emotional Vega now stands tall and waves to the crowd as they chant to her. She blows them a kiss and exits the ring as we go back to a break.

SmackDown Results – May 5th, 2023

We go right to the ring and out comes The LWO to a big pop – 2023 WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar, Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde and Zelina Vega. We see what happened at today’s Backlash press conference with Rey, Vega, Dominik Mysterio and SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley.

Rey asks how everyone is doing tonight, and says he’s proud The LWO can represent for all Hispanic people. Rey says Bad Bunny will defeat Damian Priest in the Street Fight at Backlash tomorrow. Rey says he then wants to introduce the next SmackDown Women’s Champion. Vega gets a bit emotional at the reaction. Vega goes to speak but the music interrupts and out comes The Judgment Day – Dominik, Ripley, Priest and Finn Balor.

Dominik stops and rips a LWO t-shirt as the boos pick up. They hit the ring and Dominik speaks some in Spanish, and calls his dad a deadbeat. Rey speaks back in Spanish and tells him to shut up. They go on in Spanish and the crowd is loving it. Rey proposes a WrestleMania 39 rematch but Ripley gets in his way. She has a better idea – how about Rey fights her. Vega steps up to Ripley as fans pop.

Dominik says how about you fight the both of us. Rey responds and apparently says they’re on. Fans chant “si!” now. Ripley says they’re on. She tosses the mic and Balor hands her title back. The Judgment Day goes to leave but Dominik decks his dad with a cheap shot slap. Dominik quickly retreats as Cole wonders if Adam Pearce will make the mixed tag team match official.

Rey Mysterio and Zelina Vega vs. Dominik Mysterio and SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley

We go back to the ring for tonight’s main event and out first comes The LWO’s Zelina Vega and 2023 WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio. They hit the corners to pose as we go back to commercial.

Back from the break and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will be back next week. We go back to the ring for the main event and out comes The Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio and SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley with Finn Balor. Ripley and Vega start things off with Vega ducking a big boot, then unloading.

Vega rocks Ripley in the mouth. Ripley grabs her and lifts her but Vega escapes and dodges a stomp. Vega ducks Ripley and Ripley runs into a big boot. Vega with a hurricanrana takedown off the middle rope. Vega taunts Ripley now as they both regroup in opposite corners.

Rey tags in now, then Dominik comes in to big boos. Dominik with a cheap kick to take control. Rey goes to run the ropes but Dominik kicks him in the gut again. Rey turns it around but Rhea hits him in the back with a cheap shot. Dominik with an arm drag. Vega comes in as Rey helps drop Dominik into position for 619.

Rey exits the ring and Vega goes for 619 on Dominik but Ripley rushes over and levels Vega with a big boot to cut her off. We go to commercial with Ripley standing tall and Vega recovering on the floor.

Back from the break and Ripley is dominating Vega. Veg counters with a Crucifix pin for 2. Vega looks to tag but Dominik pulls Rey off the apron to the floor. Balor congratulates Dominik. Rhea grounds Vega in the middle of the ring now. Ripley plays to the crowd with the taunt made famous by WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero. Vega takes advantage of Ripley wasting time and avoids a powerbomb. They tangle and Ripley hits the ring post shoulder-first when Vega moves out of the way.

Rey rallies for the tag as Balor tries to get Ripley back on her feet. Vega kicks Ripley away and in comes Rey, and then Dominik. Rey unloads and drops his son, then hits a big middle rope springboard crossbody. Rey drops Dominik into the middle turnbuckle face-first, then mounts him in the corner with punches as fans count along.

Dominik has his father on his shoulders but Rey keeps delivering punches. Dominik drops Rey face-first into the top turnbuckle, then hits a Michinoku Driver for 2 as Vega breaks it up just in time. Ripley sends Vega to the floor. Rey drops Dominik into position for the 619 as fans cheer. Ripley distracts Rey from the apron but Vega knocks her to the floor, then sends her into the barrier.

Rey nails 619 on his son. Rey goes to climb up but he has to stop and knock Balor off the apron to the floor. Dominik takes over and nails a vertical suplex to his dad. Dominik holds the suplex and goes for Three Amigos like Eddie, but Rey holds him down after the suplex and keeps him down for the three count.

Winners: Rey Mysterio and Zelina Vega

After the bell, the music hits but Balor and Dominik immediately attack Rey, stomping away to keep him down as fans boo. Rey fights back but they keep him down, then Damian Priest runs in to make it a triple team attack. The music finally hits and out comes Bad Bunny to a huge pop. Bunny carries a kendo stick and he has The LWO’s Santos Escobar, Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde with him. The LWO hits the ring and attacks Balor and Dominik, running right past Priest, who is just standing at the ropes, staring out at Bunny and waiting to fight. The LWO fights Balor and Dominik to the floor. Santos flies off the top to the floor to take Balor down. Priest is still staring Bunny down. Bunny is fired up at ringside as Priest invites him into the ring to fight. Bunny comes in with the kendo tick. Dominik charges from out of nowhere but Bunny knocks him in mid-air with the kendo stick, but this allows Priest to retreat to the floor. The Judgment Day looks on from ringside as The LWO joins Bunny in the ring while his music plays. Rey presents Bunny with a Puerto Rico flag LWO t-shirt and he puts it on to a big pop. The final SmackDown before WWE Backlash goes off the air with The LWO celebrating with Bunny in the ring as The Judgment Day seethes from ringside.

The Judgment Day vs. The LWO

We go back to the ring and out comes The Judgment Day – Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, Damian Priest and SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley. Priest takes the mic and comments on how The Judgment Day stays united on RAW, and how Ripley was the #1 Draft pick.

Ripley asks if there was ever any doubt who would be the #1 pick because she stays on top. She says RAW thought they would get rid of The Judgment Day that easy but they run RAW. Ripley says she will make Zelina Vega regret everything she’s done on SmackDown when she reminds everyone why she’s the most dominant. Balor goes on about how Priest will destroy Bad Bunny in their Street Fight. Priest addresses Bunny but he gets the “What!?” treatment. Priest goes on in Spanish as the “What!?” chants continue. Priest says Bunny will receive his punishment at WWE Backlash. Dominik goes to speak but the loud boos drown him out. Balor tells them to let Dominik speak. He tries again but the boos pick up and a “you suck!” chant starts. Dominik tries again but the boos cut him off. Dominik can’t wait until Mami… until she and Priest… the boos cut him off again. Until Mami and Priest dominate at Backlash, he yells over the boos. Another “you suck!” chant starts up. Dominik says like The Judgment Day will dominate tonight, and since The LWO got drafted to SmackDown, it looks like this is the last night he gets to embarrass his deadbeat dad and his loser friends before they run and hide on SmackDown. The music interrupts and out comes The LWO – 2023 WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar and Zelina Vega. Rey says that’s not how the Draft works, they’re not hiding on SmackDown, but he’s glad he and Dominik are on different brands because the next beating would’ve made the belt at WrestleMania 39 look like nothing. Rey can’t wait to see Vega leave WWE Backlash with the title. Rey goes on hyping up The LWO and says he can’t wait to see Bad Bunny beat Priest and anyone else stupid enough to get in his way. Rey promises The LWO will smash The Judgment Day. We go to commercial as the two factions face off.

Back from the break and we get a promo for Imperium coming to RAW. We go back to the ring and Rey looks to start off with Dominik but Rhea tags in. Rhea gets in Rey’s face and taunts him until Vega flies in and takes Ripley out.

Vega and Ripley tangle now. Vega blocks the Riptide with a Guillotine. They go at it and Priest tags in. Escobar meets him but gets rocked. Escobar mounts offense and nails a running knee in the corner. Escobar chops Priest and kicks away but turns back and runs into a huge forearm to the mouth. Priest then drops Rey on the apron.

Escobar comes back with a high knee to send Priest to the floor. Dominik runs in but Escobar nails a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Rey tags in and takes Priest back down with a senton. Rey confronts Dominik at ringside but he hides behind Ripley as we go to commercial.

Back from the break and Priest is dominating Escobar in the corner. Escobar charges with a big dropkick and they both go down. The Mysterios tag in and go at it now. Rey nails his signature offense and mounts Dominik in the corner as fans count along with the right hands. Dominik escapes but Rey keeps fighting and hits a springboard crossbody for 2 as Rhea makes the save.

Rhea drops Vega with a big right hand. Rhea presses Vega above her head but she fights out with a 619 to the gut. Vega sends Rhea to the floor. Dominik drops his dad but hits the ring post when Rey moves. Rey knocks Priest into position for 619 but Balor distracts the referee, allowing Dominik to trip his dad from the floor.

Escobar with a big suicide dive to Dominik. Ripley levels Escobar with a big dropkick on the floor. Vega leaps off the apron with a Meteora to the floor to take Ripley down. Rey escapes the Razor’s Edge and goes for 619 on Priest but Balor sacrifices himself, which allows Priest to hit South of Heaven on Rey for the pin to win.

Winners: The Judgment Day

After the match, The Judgment Day stands tall as the music hits. We go to replays. Priest yells out with words for Bad Bunny as The Judgment Day regroups.

Zelina Vega vs. Sonya Deville

We go back to the ring and Sonya Deville waits as Zelina Vega makes her way out. Chelsea Green is out with Deville. Cole hypes Vega vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley at WWE Backlash.

The bell rings and they lock up. Deville slams Vega to the mat with ease. Deville trash talks and drops Vega with ease again to prevent a lock-up. Vega with a takedown but Deville blocks the next attempt.

Deville unloads with body blows in the corner. Vega uses the ropes for an arm bar but she’s forced to break. Vega ends up on the floor, arguing with Green, which allows Deville to drop her from behind. Deville brings it back in for a 2 count.

Deville unloads with kicks in the corner now. Deville takes Vega down and rag-dolls her with a headlock. Vega fights up and out but Deville quickly cuts her off and drops her for 2. Deville unloads in the corner again as the referee warns her. Deville goes for a long vertical suplex but Vega counters.

Vega looks to mount offense but she runs into an elbow and goes down. They tangle again and Vega rolls Deville up for the pin to win out of nowhere.

Winner: Zelina Vega

After the match, Vega stands tall as the music hits. Ripley suddenly attacks Vega and lays her out. Deville goes for Ripley but Ripley nails a headbutt. Green gets on the apron but she jumps off when Ripley stares her down. Ripley goes for Vega again to deliver Riptide, but Vega counters and spikes her with a DDT. Ripley sits up in the corner, clutching her title, and she’s furious as Vega runs away to the back.

Monday Night Raw Results – April 17th, 2023

We go right to the ring and out comes The Bloodline – Solo Sikoa, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and Paul Heyman. Mike Rome does the introductions.

The Usos take the mic and announce that they are in your town. They receive some boos. Heyman takes the mic and does his usual, mentioning how he’s the special counsel to Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, and the lifelong Wise Man to The Bloodline. Heyman has big news on history changing but before he can continue, the music interrupts and out comes The Judgment Day – Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio and SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley.

The Judgment Day hits the ring and the two sides face off. Priest steps to Solo as a “you suck!” chant breaks out. Heyman shakes hands with Priest and says it’s a very good day to be a very bad guy. Heyman says if there’s a heaven, none of us are making it in. This is a short-term deal conceived by Reigns. Fans boo. Jey says they knew nothing about this. Heyman says Reigns didn’t want anyone on their side knowing, well except Solo, because he wanted his Usos being caught off-guard by the enormity of this. Heyman says even Balor isn’t happy with this because of his feelings against The Bloodline, but he’s willing to put those feelings aside in the name of villainy.

Heyman brings up The Judgment Day’s issues with Bad Bunny. Solo continues staring Ripley down, so Heyman has Jey switch places with Solo. Rhea then moves over so she can keep staring Solo down, and he does the same. Heyman asks if everything is OK and she says for now. Heyman says The Judgment Day needs Bunny taken care of, and Solo will do that, while The Bloodline has problems with Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, and Matt Riddle. Heyman says these three will face The Bloodline at WWE Backlash, if they make it there because first they must face The Judgment Day tonight. Heyman rips the locals and says Solo will first smash 2023 WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio. Fans pop for Rey’s name as his music starts up and here he comes.

The Judgment Day is backstage talking. Damian Priest mentions Bad Bunny appearing next week, while Dominik Mysterio says it was satisfying to see Solo Sikoa hurt his dad tonight. Paul Heyman walks by and asks if they are satisfied with the opener. Finn Balor makes an “eh” sound. Heyman tells them to make sure they get the job done tonight against Matt Riddle, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens tonight so they don’t fall into debt with The Tribal Chief. Priest says no, that sounds like an issue between Roman Reigns and The Usos because The Judgment Day handles their business. Ripley says goodbye to Heyman, who tells them to call Reigns.

The Judgment Day vs. Matt Riddle and Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens

We go back to the ring for tonight’s main event and out first comes The Judgment Day – Finn Balor, Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio with SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and out comes Matt Riddle and Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens as The Judgment Day looks on. Balor starts off with Zayn and they go at it. Zayn gets the upperhand early on, forcing Mysterio to tag in.

Dominik poses and flexes to boos. Priest tags in and stares Zayn down instead. Owens wants to come in, and Zayn gives him the tag. Owens and Priest go at it, colliding with shoulders a few times. Owens drops Priest and hits a senton for a pop. Priest with a stiff right hand. Balor tags in but Owens catches him in mid-air for a big slam. Balor kicks out at 2. They go on and Balor takes out the knee.

Balor sends Owens to the floor, then has words with the referee. This allows Ripley to level Owens with a big clothesline at ringside. Balor brings it back in and works Owens over while Ripley brags to the crowd to boos. Balor knocks Zayn off the apron but turns back around to a superkick from Owens.

Riddle tags in an levels Balor with kicks. Dominik runs in but Riddle kicks him. Riddle with a big elbow to Balor, then one to knock Priest off the apron, then one more running elbow to Balor in the corner. Riddle with an Exploder and a Broton to Balor, then the Fisherman’s suplex for a 2 count. Balor goes for Riddle’s eyes but he still manages to kick Priest off the apron. Riddle also sends Balor out, then Dominik right next to him. Riddle goes to springboard out on top of Balor and Dominik, but Priest grabs him and chokeslams him to the floor. Ripley laughs at Riddle as we go to commercial.

Back from the break and The Judgment Day is taking turns on Riddle with quick tags and pin attempts. Dominik tries his hand now but Riddle catches him with a big German suplex. Fans rally for Riddle now and in comes Zayn to a big pop. Zayn unloads on Dominik and back-drops him across the ring. Balor runs in but Zayn tosses him to the floor, and does the same to Priest.

Zayn goes to the top but Dominik cuts him off to boos. Zayn with a big Sunset Bomb to Dominik but he kicks out at 2. Zayn drags Dominik over and goes to the top but Ripley shoves him off while the referee is distracted. Owens comes over and throws what looks like a title belt at Ripley. Dominik hits a big Frogsplash on Zayn for a close 2 count as Owens also runs in. Riddle rushes in but Priest nails an elevated Flatliner. Zayn sends Priest and Balor to the floor and goes to fly out but Ripley grabs his foot.

The referee ejects Ripley to a big pop and she throws a fit at ringside. Dominik takes advantage of the distraction and rolls Zayn up for 2. Zayn with a Blue Thunderbomb for 2. Owens is back on the apron now. Zayn tags him in. Owens goes to the top for the Swanton Bomb but Dominik gets his knees up.

Balor tags in and hits the shotgun dropkick into the corner. Balor goes to the top but Owens dodges Coup de Grace. Zayn tags in as Owens hits a Stunner on Balor. Zayn waits for a Helluva Kick but Priest runs in. Owens with a Stunner to Priest to send him out. Zayn with the Helluva Kick to Balor. Riddle tags in and goes to the top to hit the Floating Bro on Balor for the pin to win.

Winners: Matt Riddle, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens

After the match, Riddle, Zayn and Owens stand tall to celebrate as the music hits. The Usos and The Bloodline rush down and a big brawl breaks out. The LWO and Rey Mysterio are out next to join the fight around the ring and ringside area. Rey ends up hitting 619 on his son to a big pop. Fans chant for tables now. Owens slams Priest on top of the announce table with Sami as the brawl continue. RAW goes off the air with Rey standing on the ropes with the rest of The LWO.

Kayla Braxton is backstage with Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio and SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley now. She mentions how Zelina Vega embarrassed Ripley last week. Ripley is not happy. Priest talks about Santos Escobar and WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, and how their friends should not be in the business. Priest says he will address Bad Bunny in the ring. Priest walks off while Rhea stares Braxton down. Dominik and Rhea follow Priest now.

We go back to the ring and out comes The Judgment Day – Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio and SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley. Priest takes the mic and mentions Bad Bunny hosting WWE Backlash in Puerto Rico. He says if Bunny wants to attend and sit in the front row, that’s fine, but if he puts hands on his family again… we see recent happenings with Bunny on RAW, where Priest slammed him through the announce table two weeks ago. Priest knows it was bad. He plays it in slow motion again. Ripley, Mysterio and Priest all laugh but The LWO’s music interrupts and out comes Zelina Vega by herself. Ripley exits the ring to wait for Vega, but Santos Escobar, Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde rush into the ring from behind, hitting Priest and Mysterio with a sneak attack. The LWO regroups at ringside as fans cheer and a furious Priest looks on. Back to commercial.

Damian Priest vs. Santos Escobar

Back from the break and Santos Escobar hits a crossbody on Damian Priest, then sends him to the floor as fans pop. Dominik Mysterio and SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley are at ringside, as are Zelina Vega, Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde.

Escobar goes for a dive but puts the brakes on as Priest moves. Escobar flies out anyway but Priest rocks him in mid-air. Priest brings it back in and splashes Escobar in the corner, then hits a Falcon Arrow for a close 2 count.

Escobar fights back with chops but Priest unloads with kicks. Escobar mounts offense with now as Priest misses. Escobar with a big dropkick for 2. Escobar with double knees in the corner, and again. Escobar mounts Priest in the next corner with right hands as fans count along. Priest cuts him off but Escobar blocks a chokeslam.

Priest knocks Escobar to the floor as The LWO looks on. Priest runs and leaps off the steel steps, dropping Escobar with an axe handle. Priest stands tall and poses as fans boo. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and Priest is pounding on Escobar in the corner. Escobar fights back but Priest slams him face-first into the mat for a close 2 count. Escobar with a jawbreaker. Escobar runs into a big boot in the corner and goes down.

The Judgment Day taunts the crowd to boos now. Priest has Escobar on the middle rope but Escobar fights back and climbs up for a super hurricanrana for a big pop. Escobar is slow to crawl over and Priest kicks out just in time. Escobar rallies now. They get up and trade big strikes as fans go along with each one. Priest unloads but Escobar hits a jumping knee, then two takedowns and another hurricanrana takedown.

Escobar gets sent to the apron when he charges in with double knees. Escobar blocks a right hand and nails an enziguri from the apron. Escobar goes to the top for the moonsault but Priest kicks out just in time. Ripley and Mysterio can’t believe it. Fans chant for Escobar now. Ripley distracts the referee from the apron, allowing Dominik to nail a cheap shot to Escobar. This allows Priest to drop Escobar with a big shot.

Wilde and Del Toro attack Dominik at ringside but Priest saves him, shoving them both into the timekeeper’s area by their throats. Escobar with a suicide dive to send Priest onto the announce table.

Escobar brings it back in but Ripley holds his foot, allowing Priest time to recover. Vega runs over and launches Ripley face-first into the barrier with a head-scissors. Escobar walks into a big kick from Priest, then the South of Heaven chokeslam for the pin to win.

After the match, the music hits as The Judgment Day stands tall. We go to replays. Priest goes out and prepares to put Escobar through the announce table but the music of 2023 WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio hits. Rey flies into Priest at ringside to take him down. Rey then goes for his son in the ring, and prepares to hit 619, but he’s pulled to safety by Priest. The LWO re-groups in the middle of the ring while The Judgment Day does the same on the ramp.

SmackDown Results – April 7, 2023

We go back to the ring and out comes WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H to a big pop.

Triple H hits the corners to pose as his music plays and fans cheer him on. Cole says he’s an all-time great but now he’s running this place. Triple H says as long as he has breath in his body, that will never get old. He knows everyone has been here for a while, but welcome to SmackDown. He goes on about how there’s nothing like WrestleMania. He says WrestleMania 39 exceeded all expectations, then touts some of the broken records from the weekend.

Triple H says as great as WrestleMania as, it’s now behind us and we look to the future, which is why he’s out here – to talk about the future. Are you ready? He said… are you ready? He says in just a few short weeks it’s once again time for the WWE Draft, a night that changes the future and destiny of every WWE Superstar in the back. This year it will be bigger than ever with every single Superstar eligible, and he promises when it’s all said and done, the 2023 Draft will truly change the game.

Speaking of changing the game, Triple H introduces someone who is doing just that. Fresh off her win over the legendary Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania, here is new SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley. The music hits and out comes The Judgment Day – Ripley, Finn Balor, Damian Priest, and Dominik Mysterio. Triple H greets Ripley and shakes her hand, then does the same with the others before they march to the ring. Ripley takes the mic and says sports entertainment changed forever at WrestleMania 39 because she did the impossible – she destroyed and dethroned Flair.

Ripley calls on everyone to rise for her. Fans cheer, and she calls on them to do it again. Ripley laughs. Balor brings up WWE Hall of Famer Edge and says he’s some kind of sicko for splitting open his head to get a win. He says who’s the real winner as even though he needed 14 staples, Edge is nowhere to bee seen while Balor is still standing. Fans boo and cheer. Dominik begins speaking to huge heat. He says he decided to not show aggression to his dad at WrestleMania. Fans chant “you suck!” and Dominik says his father sucks for putting hands on him. Dominik says he pulled back on his punches and he couldn’t hurt his dad because he loves him, but he can’t say the same for his dad as he saw the anger in his eyes.

Dominik says the fans and his family can go to hell, and take Bad Bunny and friends with you. We see how Bunny got involved at WrestleMania 39, then again on Monday’s RAW. Cole says Bunny is not doing good. Priest takes the mic and speaks in Spanish to Bunny, then says he hopes Bunny can find it in his heart to forgive Priest because Priest forgives Bunny for making him do what he did to him on RAW. Fans boo louder.

Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar vs. Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio

The music interrupts and out comes the Latino World Order – 2023 WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar with Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde and Zelina Vega. They head to the ring as Dominik Mysterio, Damian Priest, Finn Balor and SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley look on. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and Dominik faces off with his dad but he tags in Priest to start as fans boo. Priest beats Rey into the corner and drops him to boos as the referee warns him. Priest holds Rey as Dominik tags in and beats his father down to more boos as Ripley laughs.

Dominik whips Rey into the turnbuckles and he goes down. Dominik mounts Rey with right hands now. Dominik with more offense, then a suplex for a 2 count. Dominik runs into boots in the corner now. Dominik blocks the tag but Rey counters and in comes Escobar. Escobar rocks Dominik then stuns Priest on the apron. Escobar rocks Dominik with an enziguri, then hits a top rope crossbody. Santos with a backbreaker to Dominik, then another backbreaker version.

Santos launches Rey into Dominik to block a sneak attack, and Rey sends his son to the floor. Rey and Santos take out their opponents at ringside again, then return to the ring to cheers. Santos hoists Rey up in the air as fans cheer them on. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and Priest grounds Santos to dominate him now. Rey rallies the crowd. Santos fights back but Priest hits the Bell Clap. Priest drops Santos for 2. Dominik tags back in to take over on Santos, grounding him on the mat. Santos fights for a tag but Dominik knees him in the gut.

Santos with a back-drop to make the tag. Rey unloads and knocks Priest off the apron. Rey drops Dominik. They run the ropes and Dominik catches Rey in a Michinoku Driver for a close 2 count. Fans chant “619!” now. Rey rolls through with a basement dropkick, then knocks Priest off the apron. Rey with a springboard moonsault to Dominik for 2.

Rey dropkicks Dominik, then goes for 619 but Ripley saves Dominik. Vega leaps off the apron to take Rhea down at ringside. Vega tells her to bring it. Rhea chases Vega around and into the crowd, but then stops. Priest tags in as Rey drops Dominik into position for 619. Santos tags in as Rey hits 619 to his son. Priest ends up hitting South of Heaven on Santos for the pin to win.

Winners: The Judgment Day

After the match, Priest stands tall over Santos but Rey comes in and dropkicks him away. Rey checks on Santos.

Monday Night Raw Results – April 3, 2023

We go back to the ring and out comes RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair.

Belair raises the title to a pop and says she cannot be The EST without getting in the ring with the best. She praises Asuka as one of the best she’s wrestled, and thanks Asuka for pushing her. Belair says she can honestly say we did it, we did the 3-peat at WrestleMania. The music interrupts and out comes new SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley.

Ripley taunts Belair and points to how she decided to challenge Charlotte Flair instead of Belair, but she promises Belair they will get back to this and she will beat Belair just like she beat Flair this weekend. Fans pop as they face off. Belair says Ripley made her decision for a reason, and she’s SmackDown champion so stand on that alone, and she’s open to getting back in the ring with Ripley. Belair says one day when Ripley is ready, they will see who the best of the best is. Ripley drops the mic and exits the ring but the music interrupts and out comes Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. Liv heads to the ring while Raquel stops for a quick face-off with Ripley at the bottom of the ramp.

SmackDown Women’s Title Match: Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair

We go back to the ring and out first comes Rhea Ripley. SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair is out next. Flair marches down the ramp and poses to the pyro. Flair continues her long entrance as Ripley stares her down from the corner. We get formal ring introductions from Samantha Irvin now.

The bell rings and they stare each other down. They stall some for a minute or two, then finally lock up and aggressively tangle. Flair with a headlock. Flair keeps control but Ripley shoulders her to the mat. Ripley blocks a hip toss, then nails a shoulder.

Flair sends Ripley out to the floor but the referee counts as she slowly comes back in. Ripley and Flair have words. Flair with a big chop, then more strikes between the two. Flair ends up hitting a top rope crossbody but Rhea elbows her and they keep trading offense. Ripley has Flair on her shoulders now, then she launches her face-first into the top turnbuckle.

Ripley stomps away to keep Flair down. More back and forth. Ripley starts dominating and launches Flair face-first into the ring post. Ripley keeps control and slams Flair face-first. Ripley with a body scissors now. Ripley mounts Flair’s back and clubs her with strikes. They get back up and Ripley takes down Flair for more stiff strikes to keep her down. Ripley takes her time and drops Flair on her neck for another 2 count.

Flair mounts some offense now, sending Ripley face-first into the top turnbuckle. Flair smirks and unloads with clotheslines now. Flair unloads with big chops and more offense in the corner. Flair works the leg over now. Flair gets dumped to the apron but she runs Ripley face-first into the ring post. Flair goes to the top as fans do dueling chants. Flair flies but Ripley rolls through and stands up with her. Flair blocks Riptide and turns it into a tornado DDT for another DDT.

Flair is a bit frustrated now. Ripley blocks the Figure Four and cradles Flair for 2. They both collide and go down in the middle of the ring as fans cheer them on. They get to their feet and trade big strikes now. Ripley stomps the foot and nails a jawbreaker. Flair counters and launches Ripley over her head. Flair finally kips-up to show that she is still in it. Flair keeps control and insults Ripley, then goes to the top for a moonsault. Ripley jumps up but gets sent back to the mat. Ripley rushes back up and hits a huge super German suplex, dropping Flair face-first into the mat. Flair still kicks out and people are shocked.

Flair with a chop block to the knee, then Natural Selection. Ripley kicks out just in time, rolling to the floor under the bottom rope. They go to the floor and Flair tries for a Spear but Ripley side-steps and Flair hits the steel ring steps. Ripley brings it back in and drops Flair on her face for a close 2 count. Ripley talks trash and goes for Riptide but Flair counters with a German suplex. Ripley still gets up first. Flair with another German. They trade strikes and counters as they tangle, and Ripley nails a massive German now, smashing Flair face-first into the mat again.

Fans chant “this is awesome!” now. They trade punches, then Flair nails a big boot for 2. Ripley blocks the Figure Four and nails a forearm. Flair runs and knocks Ripley off the apron with another big boot. Flair goes up top for the moonsault to the floor, nailing it to take Ripley back down at ringside. Flair brings Ripley back in but Ripley blocks the Figure Four again. Ripley side-steps the Spear and Flair puts on the brakes to avoid hitting the referee. Ripley headbutts Flair and then nails Riptide for a close 2 count. Ripley can’t believe it, the crowd is shocked.

Flair counters Ripley and cradles her for 2. Ripley with the Prism Lock now in the middle of the ring. Flair goes for the bottom rope and finally breaks the hold. Ripley is sent into the referee but she turns around to a Spear by Flair. Ripley kicks out and everyone is shocked. They unload on each other with back & forth strikes now as fans count along. Ripley with a kick. Flair with a kick to drop Ripley. Flair with the Figure Four now. Ripley grabs the bottom rope before she can bridge.

Flair sits up on her knees and talks to herself. Flair rocks Ripley into the ring post. Flair brings Ripley up for a superplex but stops to chop her instead. Ripley sends Flair face-first into the top of the ring post and her body goes limp. Ripley climbs up for a super Riptide for the pin to win the title.

Winner and New SmackDown Women’s Champion: Rhea Ripley

After the match, Ripley stands tall as the music hits and we go to replays. Ripley raises the title in the air as the pyro explodes. Flair looks on and mouths to Ripley that she deserved it. Cole shows us a WrestleMania Watch Party in Australia, where it’s around 1am on Sunday, and how they reacted to Ripley’s win. Ripley continues her big celebration with the title in the air.

We get a video package on Rhea Ripley vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania now. Byron Saxton is backstage with Ripley, asking for her response to Flair saying she will continue her storied legacy by beating Ripley. Ripley says there’s no denying how great Flair’s legacy is, it’s un-matched, but we don’t need to be reminded every week. She says Flair’s legacy will not define her destiny, and she must beat Flair, must prove she is the best, must become the biggest in the industry, and she needs Flair’s title to do so. She says it comes down to her destiny vs. Flair’s legacy. Flair cannot stop her from becoming the new champion at WrestleMania.
